The 1960 BSA Gold Star in Clubman trim is one of the defining British sporting motorcycles of the postwar era. Built for serious riders and competition-minded enthusiasts, it paired BSA’s strong 500cc single-cylinder engine with a purposeful lightweight setup, clip-on bars, rear-set controls, and sharp handling. Its speed, durability, and racing character earned it lasting respect in club racing, road events, and production-based competition.

This Gold Star continues that legacy today. In 2026, it was awarded Best British 1960’s at The Californian Classic Motorcycle Show. That same year, it was displayed at the Levi Strauss store in San Francisco during the “Together We Ride, with Pride” campaign in June 2026. It remains a vivid example of British engineering, craftsmanship, and the golden age of single-cylinder performance motorcycles.
